My Christmas Gift to My Self

Happy New Years!!! Wow its 2013 , I feel so futuristic lol I didn't write down any resolution this year because honestly they never last. Plus I shouldn't change just because its a new year. I need to make major changes in my live daily.

I know I am super late with my Christmas goodies. But I just had to share some things I bought from Forever 21. I was watching a video on YouTube  a guy stated that sometimes when you buy things, don't buy your normal pair of jeans on a plain dress. Buy things that make a statement and buy things you know in the back of your mind your to scared to wear because you don't want to be judged!!! So thats what I did, I found clothes That would be to scared to wear or i wouldn't normally buy. Well everyone should know that right before Christmas F21 had a big 50% of sale.  I was super lucky to have stopped by and found theses wonderful statement pieces!!

I was so happy when I saw this. I didn't have anything leather and now I do!!! The sleeves are leather and the from and back of the jacket is made from some type of wool material.

When I saw this dress I thought I could never wear anything like this. But once I tried it on I was so pleased. I looked great in it. I love the neon green and royal blue combination. Its real funky but sexy at the same time.

The front has a slit. I don't have big breast so I don't have a problem with that. It comes with a neon green belt. Which I love. I can remove it when I'm ready and mitch and match belts.

The first picture is in dim lighting and the second one is with the flash on. It has a rich gold color and the material is really elastic. This has to be one of my fav's right now in my closet. I can't wait to wear it!!

Jacket: $15.49
Dress: $5:99
Skirt:$2.99
:)

I love being a broke fashionista!!!

I'm not to sure how to wear the gold skirt, do you have any ideas?

Atlantic Station: Ladies Day Out

A couple of weeks ago a high school friend of mine and I decided to go out to Atlantic Station. It was a nice day, it was sunny but a little cold, but we had a blast!

We went to Victoria Secret 1st. If you ever sign upon their site, you can receive free offers in the mail. I received a free underwear and $30 off a bra.

Next was H&M!! I love this store. They had  a lot of sales on dresses, bags, gloves, shoe, well everything!!
I bought a bag for her and me and a pair of gloves.

After we ate at the Cheese Cake Bistro...

DSW was next and I decided to have a lil photo shoot with my girl Natasha!!

So my look was really retro. I am falling in love with long Blazers. They make your outfit look really effortless but classy.
 Blazer- Thrift Store- $7
Jeans-Forever21-$10
Shoes- TjMaxx- $20
The top is actually a dress that I bought from Ross $7
( Please ignore my retarded sleeve smh my friend didn't tell me to fix it)

So on my way home I spotted this nonsense, and all I was thinking was these people in Atlanta don't play lol. I mean  I know a woman had to have done that smh She was mad!!

So if you didn't know I have Caribbean in me. My dad is from Jamaica and my mom is from St. Vincent and the Grenadines. I love my culture!!! ESpecially the food and the people. Caribbean people LOVE to have fun. So I decided to join a club at school called the S.O.C.A. club, which stands for Students of Caribbean Ancestry. We promote Caribean awareness events for the student on our campus. They learn about our food, dances, music etc..

This past weekend my club members and I went to a Leadership Conference in Florida, which was hosted by FCSA (Florida Caribbean Student Assosiation). We flied their with Spirit Airlines..... I will never do that again. The plain was dirty, the seat were to small, and for a carry on you had to pay $40!!!! I didn't pay $40, someone else paid for me.

Our Hotel was in Boca Raton, Fl. It's a nice town with a lot of stores and a lot of elderly people. I guess it was a retirement area. I stayed at the Wyndham Hotel. They people their was so nice, very warm and friendly. I would go there again.

This is my lovely room. I had my own bed!!! THANK YOU LORD. My room ate was great!!!

This is what I wore on the plane. Basic leggings, tank top and a cardigan. It was comfy and I stayed warm on the plane!

After we got in we went to the mall and got something to eat.

I buy this every time I go to the Cheese Cake Factory. It's $10.99 and I get as much fries as I want!!

The next day I didn't hang with the group I went to church. I am a Seventh -Day Adventist, so I worship on Saturday. My cousin lives there so he took me to church. I totally forgot that Florida was super HOT and my silly self decided to were a cardigan. smh

Cardigan: Thrifted $12.99
Tank: Delia's
Burgundy Skirt: Forever21 $5.99
Wedges: Good Will

I was able to see some of my family members... I haven't seen them in YEARS, so it was a blessing to see them. It made my trip complete!!

My cousin and I. I love this guy....

Later on that night I met up with my club members and we went to a lovely banquet hosted by the conference.

After that we went out (to the club smh)

Honestly I just sat around and danced on the wall... lol clubs are not the place me!!!!!

The next day, Sunday, we had a little cook out. This was the time where everyone was able to have fun, play games and meet new people, while they enjoy Florida's great weather.

Now I am back home :( I wish I could stay but I have to go back to school...

I hope you enjoyed the pictures from my trip!!!
